The background noise levels (BNL) were determined. It was observed that the un-banded fan used for 100 kVA generating set had SPL peak of 84 dB, at the fundamental blade passing frequency (BPF). In order to reduce the discrete tones at the blade passing frequency (BPF), the baseline fan were banded with a light flexible cylindrical plastic material. The band was found to effectively reduce the radiated sound levels (BPF tone) for the 100 kVA fan. Further observation showed that 10.89 dB SPL reduction was achieved by applying the flexible band on the fan used for the 100 kVA generating set. Almost all the blade rate tone levels were reduced which further increased the acoustical performance of the fan. However, a slight reduction in the aerodynamic performance of the system was observed. From the study, this effect can be mitigated by increasing the size of the radiator. Government statistics put Internet penetration in The study examined Broadband infrastructural deficit and the growth potentials of Information andĬommunications Technology in Cross River State of Nigeria, by using three–to-five scale closed-ended questionnaires.Ĭross River State has a population of about 3,104,446 yet by 2014, it was estimated that mobile BroadbandĬonnections in Cross River State was below 50,000 subscribers. Out of these, only less than 9 per cent were Broadband-based. The impact of Broadband infrastructure as an antidote to revolutionize ICT service delivery Showed that Broadband penetration constituted a major problem to ICT service delivery. A synergy was arrived at between speedy Broadband Indicated X2 calculated (4.25) to be less than X2 tabulated (9.488). Growth and advancement of technology when X2 calculated (0.07616) was less than X2 tabulated (9.488).
